On the initiative and organization of the Ministry of Energy, an informative event was held for representatives of local companies operating in the field of renewable energy. Provitaz MMC was invited to sit in the expertpanel and to share some of their experience with the integration of feed in tariffs and the first customers using this amazing opportunity.
The main purpose of the event is to increase the awareness of physical and legal entities to build their own renewable energy systems and to transfer the energy they produce to the grid.
Speaking at the opening speech, the director of the Bärpa Olunan Enerji Mənbələrı Dovlett Agency (BOEMDA), Cavid Abdullayev, emphasized the economic, social and ecological importance of the transition to green energy, saying that the active consumer model would contribute to the development of the use of renewable energy in Azerbaijan. It has been established that, in the long term, the reduction of energy costs will be made possible by expanding the participation of citizens and entrepreneurs in the production of green energy in our country.
Then BOEMDA and “Azərişıq” ASC’s experts presented the legal requirements for the implementation of the active consumer support mechanism, as well as the technical aspects of the presentations. In the presentations, extensive information was given about the installation of solar panels, wind turbines and other green energy devices, the transfer of excess energy produced to the grid, tariffs, replacement and calculation mechanisms.
In the event, participants’ questions related to the theme were answered, discussions were conducted, and practical experiences were shared.
Sonda Japan International Labor Agency (JICA) representative Nigar İsmayılova spoke and gave information about the projects supported by JICA in Azerbaijan.
