BCCA with the support of the British Embassy in Baku and the United Nations in Azerbaijan hosted a one-of-a-kind Azerbaijani-UK Forum dedicated to recent breakthroughs in Sustainability and Climate on September 12th at the JW Marriott Absheron Baku.

Key speakers, including Tural Hajili, Deputy Executive Director of Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan – AZPROMO; Nigar Arpadarai, UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP29 Azerbaijan; Vladanka Andreeva, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan; Nick Baker, Head of COP29 Team from the British Embassy; and Anthony Hobley, Deputy Chair of Climate Risk & Resilience at Howden and Co-Lead for Insurance for the High-Level Champions for Climate Change Team – highlighted the importance of collaboration between all sectors, private and public agencies for a better environment for all.

After the keynote speakers, industry experts from Azerbaijan and the UK, including – Tabasaransky Rufat, Chairman of the Management Board at LU-MUN Holding; Philip Hargreaves, CEO of Carbonbit; @Joseph Hargreaves, Co-Founder of Thallo; Jason Beresford, Executive Group Chairman of Sostratus Capital LLC; Emin Mammadov , CEO of Provitaz LLC; Kamilla Shahbazov of Green Energy; Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile; Nigel Walters, Export Manager of London EV Company (LEVC); Aimee Barnett, Business Development Manager of Berkley Group presented the audience with exciting innovations from their respective industries.

The event was moderated by Alessandra Roccasalvo, Resident Representative of UNDP Azerbaijan, and Leyla Sadikhova, Legal and Sustainability/ESG Manager of PwC Azerbaijan.
