Azerbaijan National Conservatory Switches to Solar Energy: Contribution to the Environment and Sustainable Development Goals

The Azerbaijan National Conservatory has joined the global trend of switching to renewable energy and has started using solar energy. This initiative is one of the important steps taken towards environmental protection and the implementation of sustainable energy solutions in line with Azerbaijan’s commitments under the Paris Agreement and the global climate change measures discussed at COP29.

The solar power plant, built by Provitaz LLC, will produce 45 MWh of energy per year. This innovative project not only ensures energy production, but also makes a significant contribution to environmental protection. As a result of the use of solar panels, approximately 22,500 tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions will be prevented annually. This is the equivalent of saving approximately 1,022,727 trees from the atmosphere.

In recent years, the world economy has been continuously investing in green technologies and renewable energy sources to achieve energy transition and carbon neutrality. As noted at the COP29 summit, states, businesses and society must take joint steps to reduce the negative impacts of climate change. Azerbaijan is also moving in this direction and expanding the use of clean energy sources.

The transition of the National Conservatory to solar energy not only contributes to reducing carbon emissions, but also to increasing energy efficiency and contributing to the country’s green economy goals. This initiative also serves to ensure a clean and healthy environment for future generations.

As Provitaz LLC, we are proud to support environmental protection and sustainable development by following global trends and applying the latest technologies.
